It's Chany's European Vacation Summary!

Preface

There's a saying that 100 years is a long time in North America, but 100 miles is not a long distance, whereas in Europe, 100 miles is a long distance, but 100 years is not a long time. Spending all of my life on the continent where 100 miles is not a long distance, it was time for a trip to the continent rich with history and culture. The following is a chronological summary and my perspective of my trip to Europe!

The Plan

The plan was to leave Vancouver (Canada) for Amsterdam (Netherlands) on 1997 September 17. Besides Amsterdam, we planned to visit Munich (Germany), Zurich (Switzerland), Venice (Italy), Rome (Italy), Florence (Italy), Pisa (Italy), Nice (France), Paris (France), and London (England). We had pre-purchased a 10 day Eurail pass, so we had the freedom of going wherever and whenever.

The Trip

Wearing backpacks and armed with European guide books and travellers cheques, we embarked on The Trip.
